B) Idyllwild valley
Looking north into the town of Idyllwild, from a ridge above Saunders Meadow, north end. You can see part of Lily Rock at the top right edge of the picture. The "backside" of Mt. San Jacinto peak is in the distance, the P.S. Aerial Tramway lies approximately 11 hiking miles beyond. Mt. San Jacinto visually marks the west-northwest edge of the Santa Rosa Mountain range that slopes the southern border of the Coachella Valley.
